The USD 253 Board of Education has announced a special meeting Friday morning.
The main order of business is to select a new principal at Emporia High School. A personnel-based executive session is tentatively planned before the selection is announced, although the district’s agenda does not confirm whether the executive session is linked to the principal announcement.
The next principal at Emporia High will replace Britton Hart, who has served as principal since 2014. He will serve the Kansas Association of School Boards as its director of leadership services and partnerships.
The meeting starts at 9:30 am at Mary Herbert.
