The Tampa Bay Rays out scored the Kansas City Royals 8-5 Monday night. Tuesday nights game has been postponed and rescheduled as a doubleheader on Wednesday.
The Royals were trailing 4-0 before scoring 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Jorge Solers 447 foot home run in the 7th cut the deficit to 5-4. The Rays added a single run in the 8th and 2 more in the 9th. The Royals scored a run in the 9th but could not catch up. Manager Ned Yost says there is one thing he loves about this team, their attitude. The Royals and Rays are scheduled to play again Wednesday afternoon with first pitch at 12:15p. The second game of Wednesdays doubleheader will begin 45 minutes after the first game. The games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
