One person came to Emporia for medical treatment after a crash outside of town Monday night.
Lyon County Deputy Zach Shafer says 18-year-old Camara Shireman of Emporia was driving an SUV northbound in the 1900 block of Burlingame Road when she left the road for unknown reasons and hit a power pole shortly before 10:45 pm.
An ambulance crew took Shireman to Newman Regional Health for treatment of what are being called non-life-threatening injuries. She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
There is currently no word of any resulting outages after the wreck.
