The Emporia State baseball team out scored Northeastern State 13-8 Saturday to even the series at a game a piece.
The Hornets exploded for 7 runs in the 2nd inning to take a lead they would not give up. Tanner Arst, Brian Groves and Cooper Minnick doubled in the 2nd. Connor Hurst added a 2 run home run. Lou Penner hit a 2 run home run in the 9th. The Hornets go for the series win Sunday afternoon.
