No injuries were reported after a gas meter was broken in Reading on Friday morning.
Reading and Miller first responders were toned out to 118 Osage around 8:30 am. City Maintenance Manager Brian Knight says grass had not been recently mowed around the meter and somebody traveling through a nearby alley hit it.
The city discourages alley traffic but does not ban it.
Knight says the situation was back to normal within 30 minutes. Further details are pending.
