Match Day will have a bigger matching pool for the 25 charitable groups and organizations participating later this year.
The Emporia Community Foundation has announced a sixth match partner for the event on Veterans Day as well as a new matching amount. Here’s Director Becky Jeppesen:
The Preston Trust joins several longstanding match partners including the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund, Hopkins Foundation, Reeble Endowed Trust, Trusler Foundation and Jones Testamentary Trust. The $60,000 matching pool now in play will be divided among the participating community groups on a pro-rated basis.
Jeppesen says the matching funds are pivotal to Match Day’s ongoing success, with over $810,000 raised in total over the past five years.
