The USD 253 Emporia Public Schools Board of Education could possibly be close to announcing a bond election to aid improvements for district buildings.
During the board’s regular meeting Wednesday evening, HTK Architects will again make a presentation to help finalize the facility needs assessment and continue looking at the scope of the project. Also a representative of Gilmore and Bell will be present to discuss the next steps to call for an election on the issuance of general obligation bonds.
A review of board policies is also on the agenda. The meeting begins at 7 pm inside the Mary Herbert Education Center.
