An Emporia woman was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment after a crash in eastern Emporia on Monday.
A car and SUV collided at 12th and Exchange around 6 pm. Emporia Police Officer Ken Rodriguez says both vehicles were westbound, with the SUV driven by Bryan Hammonds stopped at the intersection. A car driven by Alleyse George rear-ended the SUV.
A passenger in the SUV, Amber Dunbar of Emporia, was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
George was cited for following too closely and not having proof of insurance.
