A 2 run home run in the bottom of the 8th lifted the Chicago White Sox to a 5-4 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night.
The Royals scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning on home runs by Hunter Dozier and Chris Owings. The White Sox tied the game in the 5th inning. The Royals retook the lead in the 7th inning when Billy Hamilton scored on a Whit Merrifield sacrifice fly. Reliver Brad Boxberger could not hold onto the lead giving up the 2 run home run in the 8th. The Royals and White Sox play again Tuesday night. Jorge Lopez will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:10p.
