Kindergarten pre-registration is taking place this week for Emporia Public Schools.
Community Relations Director Lyndel Landgren says pre-registration will give kindergarteners and their families a sense of what will take place in their classrooms.
Pre-registration will take place at neighborhood elementary schools starting at 6 pm Tuesday and at 9 am Wednesday. Both activities should last about an hour.
Meanwhile, there will be a special enrollment effort next week for pre-kindergarteners looking to attend Maynard Early Childhood Center. That is set for 7 am to 5 pm April 23 at the Maynard gym.
