A two-vehicle crash in downtown Emporia didn’t hurt anybody involved Friday, but it caused some extended traffic headaches.
Emporia Police say a minivan and car crashed at Ninth and Constitution around 11 am. The wreck cracked a utility pole, which came down to the ground and brought at least one line down to the ground with it.
Authorities closed Ninth between Constitution and Merchant for close to 90 minutes during the initial crash investigation and pole repairs. No outages of any sort have been reported.
