Frigid temperatures in the forecast have led the National Weather Service to place the entire KVOE listening area into a freeze warning.
The National Weather Service issued the warning which goes into effect at 11 pm Thursday evening and will last until 10 am Friday. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20’s late Thursday evening and could potentially rise to near 32 degrees by Friday morning.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. The low temperatures could have potential impacts on outdoor plantlife including crops and vegetation.
Outdoor plants should be either covered or brought indoors during this time. Stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for more weather updates.
