The Emporia State softball team lost two games in extra innings at Central Missouri Saturday.
Central Missouri won the first game 4-3 in 9 innings.
Emporia State grabbed the early lead scoring 2 runs in the 3rd on singles by Gabby Biondo and Rachel Kauss.
Central Missouri scored single runs in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings. Emporia State tied the game in the 6th on a Destiny Ojigoh home run. The game stayed tied until the bottom of the 9th.
Central Missouri won the 2nd game 3-2 in 8 innings. Central scored 2 runs in the 4th inning. Emporia State tied the game with single runs in the 6th and 7th inning. Central Missouri won the game in the bottom of the 8th.
The Emporia State softball team is now 14-21 for the season and 6-8 in the MIAA. They are scheduled to host Rogers State Tuesday in a doubleheader.
