Logan Avenue students will benefit from the third annual Lion Launch disc golf tournament held at Hammond Park on Saturday.
Several students also participated, including first-timer Lucas Lyon, a fourth-grader at Logan Avenue.
Fifth-grader Gavin Stepich has been playing for about a year.
Organizer Sam Barrett says over 50 people either pre-registered or walked up to register for the event. Financial totals are pending. Proceeds fund field trips and other student learning opportunities.
