The Emporia High girls swim team finished in 3rd place out of 9 teams in the Emporia Invitational Thursday.
Individually Ashlyn Alingh finished in 2nd place in both the 200 free and 100 butterfly. Both with consideration times for State. It was the first time Ashlyn swam in the 200 free.
Kaylen Hart finished 3rd in the 100 free and Hailey Williams finished 3rd in the 500 free.
The 200 free relay team of Emily Leihsing, Ashlyn Alingh, Kelsey Boettcher and Hailey Williams finished in 3rd place with the consideration time for state. The same 4 swimmers finished 4th in the 400 free relay with a consideration time. DeSoto finished 1st and Trinity Academy was 2nd.
