The Chase County jail staffer accused of having an illicit relationship with a Sedgwick County inmate last fall has agreed to diversion in her case.
Courtney White-Dold, 20, was originally charged with unlawful sexual relations after an incident in the Chase County Jail in early September. Once that was discovered, further investigation led authorities to allege additional contact, including hundreds of text or phone messages between the two with several indicating sexual contact.
The Sedgwick County inmate was housed at the Chase County Jail due to overcrowding in Wichita at the time.
As part of the diversion, White-Dold admitted to unlawful relations with the inmate from late June to early September.
The diversion agreement lasts one year. White-Dold has agreed to pay court costs plus do 80 hours of community service, a mental health evaluation and diversion supervision and reporting. Failure to adhere to the agreement’s terms and conditions will result in criminal proceedings restarting against White-Dold.
