One-time Lyon County sheriff Cliff Hacker has died.
Hacker died Saturday at age 72.
Hacker served as sheriff from the mid-1980s until 2001. He led the effort to build the current Lyon County Jail at 425 Mechanic. Among other activities, he also served as president of the Kansas Peace Officers Association during his time as sheriff.
Funeral services are pending through Dignity Memorial of Olathe.
