The USD 252 Southern Lyon County Honor Flight is fast approaching, and the district is raising funds for the upcoming trip with a little donkey basketball Tuesday night.
Hartford student Bailey Darbyshire is getting ready for her first trip — and her first time playing donkey basketball.
Hartford student Dalen Kistner was part of the trip last fall.
Teacher Bethany Thomas says the rules will be largely the same as traditional basketball, and she says three games are on tap.
The first game tips off at 6:30 pm at the Hartford High School main gymnasium. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. They are available at the schools in Hartford, Neosho Rapids and Olpe.
