The Emporia State baseball team out scored Southwest Baptist 5-2 to win the 2nd game of a 3 game series Saturday.
Southwest Baptist scored 2 runs in the 1st inning. Emporia State would score 3 runs in the 4th. Connor Hurst hit a 2 run home run and Tanner Arst drove in a run with a single. Paul Claassen drove in a run with a double in the 7th inning and Connor Hurst hit a solo home run in the 8th. Jake Barton was the winning pitcher going 8 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits with 10 strikeouts. The Hornets go for the sweep of the series Sunday afternoon.
