The National Teachers Hall of Fame (NTHF) has now announced four inductees for its 2019 class, with one more to come.
Every year five teachers from around the country are inducted to the NTHF based on their superior devotion, commitment, and dedication to educating our nation’s children.
The first four inductees are as follows:
The most recent announcement was Richard Knoeppel of Las Vegas, Nevada who teaches career and technical education.
4th-grade teacher Christopher Albrecht of Brockport, New York was picked third.
The second selection was Dyane Smokorowski, the PreK-12 technology and innovations teacher from Andover, Kansas.
First announced was Dr. Mary Jo Murray, a high school math teacher from Palm City, Florida.
Director of the NTHF and class of 2003 inductee, Carol Strickland says there’s a lot of similarities between these educators.
The induction ceremony will be from June 17th through the 22nd here in Emporia. The final inductee is to be announced soon, so stay tuned to KVOE for updates, or visit the NTHF Facebook page.
