The Emporia State track and field team will be hosting the LaQuinta Inn Spring Twilight Invitational Saturday.
Over 700 athletes from 31 schools are entered to compete. Field events begin at noon with the track prelims at 1pm.
Friday Emporia States Brianna Schmitz finished in 3rd place in the Heptathlon at the Wichita State hosted Herm Wilson Multi Events. Her score of 4969 is the 3rd highest in school history and is currently ranked #2 in the Nation. Claudia Rojo of Wichita State finished in 1st place by 4 points.
In the decathalon Tanner Raubenstein finished in 4th place. Wyatt Seidel finished in 7th place and Brandon Wilkes finished in 8th place.
