The Kansas Jayhawks rolled into the 2nd round of the NCAA mens basketball tournament with a 87-53 win over Northeastern Thursday.
Dedric Lawson led the way with 25 points and 11 rebounds, his 21st double-double of the season.
Devon Dotson added 18 points. Ochai Agbaji and K.J. Lawson both finished in 13 points.
Coach Bill Self called it a good 40 minute effort.
The Jayhawks will play Auburn in the 2nd round Saturday with tip-off set for 8:40p. Auburn out scored New Mexico State 78-77.
Friday afternoon Kansas State plays UC Irvine. The 4th seeded Wildcats have been picked by some as a favorite for an upset. Coach Bruce Weber says this nothing new.
Senior Barry Brown says there are a lot of keys to winning this game.

The Kansas State women play Michigan this afternoon at 1pm in the Womens NCAA Tournament.
