Progress on the construction on ESU’s western and southern edges will speed up as the weather becomes steadily nicer.
The western side of Emporia State’s campus has been experiencing construction for months now, in an attempt to help “beautify” the campus’s appeal. Work on the south side began a few weeks ago.
Several overhead powerlines run across this area, and ESU Facilities Director Mark Runge talks about the goal of burying these lines underground and replacing them with more aesthetic adornments.
Wet winter weather has delayed some of the progress, but Runge hopes that as the air warms up and becomes drier that things will begin to pick up and they’ll be able to meet their summer deadline.
