The Emporia State tennis teams were defeated by Northwest Missouri State in duels Sunday.
The women lost 5-2. Jessica Purdy won at 1 singles and Karen Santiago won at 5 singles.
The men also lost 5-2. Emporia State won 2 of 3 doubles matches to win the doubles point. Taylor Nelson won at 4 singles.
The men are scheduled to play at Friends Wednesday and the women are scheduled to play at Missouri Western Friday.
