The Kansas Jayhawks advanced to the Big-12 Tournament Championship game with a 88-74 win over West Virginia Friday night. They will play Iowa State which eliminated Kansas State 63-59.
Kansas used a 13-2 run in the 2nd half to take control of the game. Coach Bill Self liked the way they finished the game.
Dedric Lawson led the way with a game high 24 points.
Quentin Grimes added 18 points, Devon Dotson finished with 13 and Marcus Garrett added 11 points.
The Jayhawks will play Iowa State in the Championship game.
Iowa State closed out their game with Kansas State on a 13-4 run. Kansas State Coach Bruce Weber said there were two bad stretches in the game.
Kansas State had 5 players score in double-figures led by Cartier Diarra with 15 points. Barry Brown finished 13 points, Xavier Sneed scored 11, Kamau Stokes and Makol Mawien finished with 10 points. The Wildcats now wait for Selection Sunday.
