The Emporia State baseball team was out scored by Central Oklahoma 4-3 in game 1 of a 3 game series Friday.
Christian Roduner was 2 for 4 with a run scored. Brian Grove, Cooper Minnick and Connor Hurst drove in the runs for the Hornets. Tanner Cairns took the loss going 8 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits with 7 strikeouts.
The Hornets and Bronchos play game 2 Saturday afternoon.
