Kansas and Kansas State advanced to the semi-finals at the Big 12 mens basketball tournament.
The Jayhawks out scored Texas 65-57. Kansas Coach Bill Self called it a typical March game.
Devon Dotson led the offense with 17 points, Dedric Lawson added 16, David McCormick finished with 13 points and Quentin Grimes scored 12 points.
The Jayhawks will play West Virginia Friday night in the semi-finals. Tip-off is set for 8pm. Coverage begins at 7pm on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
West Virginia upset number 2 seed Texas Tech 79-74.
Kansas State has advanced to the semi-finals at the Big 12 mens basketball tournament. The Wildcats overcame a 12 point first half deficit to out score TCU 70-61. Coach Bruce Weber like the resiliencey of the team.
Xavier Sneed led the Wildcats with a game high 19 points. Barry Brown finished with 12 points.
Kamau Stokes added 11 and Makol Mawien finished with 10 points.
Kansas State will play Iowa State in the semi-finals.
Iowa State defeated Baylor 83-66.
