The fields are set for state basketball tournaments across Kansas later this week.
Country 101.7 FM will follow the Lebo boys and the Olpe and Waverly girls, who are all playing at the 1A Tournament in Dodge City:
*On the girls half of the bracket, Waverly has the first game of the day Wednesday. The Lady Bulldogs, 20-3 on the season, are the No. 7 seed and face No. 2 seed Rural Vista at 3 pm. Olpe is the No. 3 seed at 23-0. They will play No. 6 seed Hanover at 4:45 pm Wednesday. Should both teams win their opening-round games, they would face off at 3 pm Friday for a chance at a state title.
*The Lebo boys are the No. 7 seed at 18-5. That earns them a game against No. 2-seed Osborne at 3 pm Thursday.
The Mission Valley boys play Hutchinson Trinity Wednesday at 3pm at the 2A State Tournament at Hays.
At the Class 3A Tournament in Hutchinson, the Eureka girls are the No. 3 seed and face No. 6 seed Royal Valley at 4:45 pm Wednesday. The Eureka boys are the No. 7 seed. They will play No. 2 seed Beloit at 3 pm Thursday.
Here at the Class 5A Tournament at White Auditorium, the girls open play Wednesday. Matchups include McPherson against Topeka Seaman at 3 pm, St. Thomas Aquinas vs. Maize South at 4:45 pm, Goddard vs. Blue Valley Southwest at 6:30 pm and Wichita Heights vs. Kansas City Schlagle at 8:15 pm. For the boys on Thursday, games include Maize vs. St. James Academy at 3 pm, Andover Central vs. Pittsburg at 4:45 pm, Bonner Springs vs. Bishop Carroll at 6:30 pm and Basehor-Linwood vs. Salina Central at 8:15 pm.
