The Emporia State baseball team is scheduled to play their home opener Thursday. The Hornets will be hosting Lindenwood in the first of a 3 game series.
Senior pitcher Tanner Cairns says it has been a challenging spring so far due to the weather.
First pitch at the Trusler Sports Complex is set for 2pm.
The two teams will play a doubleheader Friday.
