Thanks to some “Shamrocks and Shenanigans” Friday night at Bruff’s Sports Bar and Grill, the St. Patrick’s Committee is now over halfway to their fundraising goal for 2019.
The annual St. Patrick’s Committee fundraising auction took place Friday at Bruff’s and saw roughly 100 items up for bid. The event raised a grand total of $19,100 for the committee’s record 24 local beneficiaries this year.
Spokesperson Barb Ternes Lowery says she was extremely pleased with Friday’s total.
The fundraising goal for this year is $30,000 with all funds going to benefit the aforementioned 24 local organizations selected by the committee this year. Fundraising efforts will continue leading up to the committee’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 16.
This includes raffle ticket sales for three great prizes including a side of beef, a 52″ television and an overnight stay in the Guffler Mansion. Tickets are available by contacting a committee member.
Ternes Lowery says sponsorship spots are still open as well for the parade and associated festivities. The cost of sponsorship is $300 and gets you a personal banner with your companies name and logo on it which will hang on the fence of the beer garden located at Town Royale during the activities in March.
Sponsors will get to keep their banners at the end of the festivities.
