Another suspect in an alleged drug distribution ring from last year has reached a plea agreement in the case.
Luis Guillen pleaded Thursday to drug possession with intent to distribute. He was originally charged with distribution within 1,000 feet of a school and was set for trial to begin Monday before reaching the plea.
Guillen becomes the third of several defendants in a September drug case that authorities say involved — but was not limited to — drug sales near Emporia Christian School and Sacred Heart School. Jacob Rodriguez pleaded no contest to distribution and is awaiting sentencing, while Amanda Alvarado pleaded to methamphetamine possession and aggravated child endangerment. Seanna Herron is currently set for trial on drug distribution charges in early March.
Sentencing is April 16.
