The MIAA Indoor Track and Field championships begin Friday. Two Emporia State athletes are ranked number 1 in their events.
Carey McCleod has the fastest time in the 60 meter dash.
Carey has already automatically qualified for nationals in the Long Jump but due to an injury he will not be competing in the long jump in the MIAA Indoor championships.
Brianna Schmitz has the top score in the pentathlon.
Brianna is also ranked 4th in the 600 yard run.
Tanner Raubenstine is ranked 3rd in the heptathlon.
Leah Nelson is ranked 3rd in the 800.
The mens 4 by 400 relay team of Brandon Rhone, Hayden Goodpaster, Murad Baheydeen and Parker Evans is ranked 4th. Parker Evans is also ranked 5th in the 600 yard run.
Jazmin Williams is ranked 6th in the long jump.
Northwest Missouri State is hosting the MIAA indoor championships.
