Lt. Gov Lynn Rogers is making a stop in Emporia on Friday.
Rogers will go to Newman Regional Health to meet with hospital administrators and tour the facility. The visit officially starts at the Newman Regional Health Conference Center at 2 pm.
Rogers is currently on a rural health care tour of the state. Besides serving as lieutenant governor, Rogers also leads the Office of Rural Prosperity, which is charged with finding ways to fire up rural economic development in health care, communication, housing, tourism and employment.
