The Lyon County Emergency Communications Center has restored their non-emergency lines.
Lines were temporarily down for a few hours Wendesday for currently unknown reasons. While work was done to restore the lines individuals were told to contact 9-1-1 f they could not reach the center on the non-emergency line.
With service now restored to the non-emergency line residents are once again asked to call 9-1-1 for emergencies only.
5pm Wednesday: Lyon County Emergency Communication Center non-emergency lines down.
Non-emergency lines are currently out of service according to Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy.
According to a press release from Van Gundy, their phone provider is aware of the situation and is currently working to resolve the issue. If you need assistance and cannot reach the center on the non-emergency line, you are advised to call 9-1-1.
The center will advise the public when lines are back in operation.
