An Emporia man was one of two people hospitalized after a crash involving an Emporia business truck and a car north of Topeka early Tuesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Rexford Dorsey was driving an EVCO semi northbound on US Highway 75 near Holton when a southbound car driven by 22-year-old Roan Bruggeman of Holton crossed the center line and hit the semi head-on shortly before 6 am.
Dorsey and Bruggeman were both taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment, although Dorsey was listed with possible injuries and Bruggeman had suspected serious injuries. Conditions have not been released.
A passenger in the EVCO truck, 34-year-old Patrick Arvitt of Emporia, was not hurt.
US-75 traffic was closed between Kansas Highway 9 to Kansas Highway 16, a distance of 10 miles, for several hours afterward.
