The Emporia State softball team out scored William Jewell 5-2 Saturday.
The Lady Hornets scored single runs in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th innings. Kelsey Phillips was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Cassidy Beem was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Montana Mesler was the winning pitcher. She gave up 2 runs on 10 hits with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.
The game with Harding was cancelled due to weather. Emporia State is scheduled to play Henderson State and Southern Arkansas Sunday.
