Cupid’s Arrow has landed.
KVOE held its annual Valentine’s Day contest drawing on the Morning Show on Thursday. Joyce Throm had the right love word, which was “candy.” She was overjoyed to win the grand prize — a diamond heart pendant set in 14-karat white gold with an 18-inch chain valued at over $500 from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal.
Store manager Marci Lindsay says Cupid’s Arrow is fun for the contestants and for store employees.
Throughout early February, qualifiers chose a love word during KVOE’s programming. If successful, preliminary winners then picked up prizes from AKA The Sports Fan, Bruffs Sports Bar and Grill, Designs by Sharon, Emporia Floral, Gambino’s Pizza and The Sweet Granada.
Throm had two minutes to call in after “candy” was announced. It took her 15 seconds.
