Renovation efforts continue at Olpe’s schools despite wintry weather.
Having said that, Superintendent Mike Argabright says the process has slowed down the last few weeks.
Weather permitting, the current round of work could be completed by late February or early March.
Argabright spoke with KVOE News after Monday’s USD 252 Southern Lyon County school board meeting. Argabright says ongoing renovations at Hartford and Neosho Rapids are “pretty much buttoned up,” with final items to finish up by summertime.
Renovations at all USD 252 schools were funded by a $14 million bond issue approved by district voters in 2017. Each building have had different projects unique to each facility, and all the district buildings have seen or will see safety and security upgrades as a result of the bond.
