A basket with 1.5 seconds to play gave Central Missouri a 73-71 win over the Emporia State mens basketball team Saturday.
The game featured 13 lead changes and 7 ties. Emporia States biggest lead was by 16 in the first half. They never trailed by more than 5 points in the game. In the last 3 minutes there were 4 lead changes and 2 ties. Coach Craig Doty said they just did not make enough baskets.
Kooper Glick led the Hornets with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Julius Jackson scored a game high 21 points. Hassan Thomas finished with 13 points. Central Missouri was led by Jakob Lowrance and Blake Spellman with 16 points each. The Emporia State men fall to 9-13 for theĀ season and 4-9 in the MIAA. They will host Central Oklahoma Thursday.
