The Emporia State softball team was swept by Nova Southeastern in their season opening doubleheader Friday.
Nova Southeastern won the first game 7-3, scoring 6 runs in the first inning. Emporia State scored all 3 runs in the 3rd inning with rbi from Destiny Ojigoh, Cassidy Beem and Rachel Kauss.
Nova Southeastern won the 2nd game 9-0. The Emporia State softball team plays Barry Saturday.
