Formal charges are pending after two recent sets of arrests in Greenwood County.
The Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle stop on US Highway 400 on Saturday led to the arrests of two people. Megan Wood was booked on suspicion of felony trafficking contraband into a correctional facility along with possession of meth and marijuana, illegal registration and driving without a valid license. Arnoldo Zapata, meanwhile, was arrested for driving while suspended.
Also last week, deputies stopped a vehicle and later determined it was stolen out of Butler County. Officials say a “large quantity” of methamphetamine was inside along with a handgun and paraphernalia. Michael Buddenhagen and Sarah Venturella were both arrested on suspicion of possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of a weapon by a felon, felony possession of stolen property and other charges.
