Wednesday will be a busy day for local government.
Lyon County commissioners have a rare study meeting planned. Commissioners will see part of Road V and also hold four executive sessions, two each for non-elected personnel and legal matters.
The meeting will start at 9 am in the County Courthouse.
At 12:30 pm, both county and Emporia city commissioners will convene for their quarterly joint meeting. The main topic of discussion will be a public safety radio project.
County commissioners are officially hosting the meeting, which will be held in the Courthouse Jury Assembly Room.
City commissioners, meanwhile, have an action session planned for 1:30 pm in the Municipal Court Room. Commissioners will consider a bid to replace the concrete pavement outside the Virgil Basgall Public Works Center at an estimated cost of nearly $120,000.
