Coming soon to your home, if you live in Emporia: new gas meters.
In fact, the installation process begins Monday in town, according to Kansas Gas Service Communications Director Dawn Tripp. She tells KVOE News it could take contract crews about two months to finish across town.
Tripp says there should not be any service interruptions during the changeovers.
This is part of an ongoing project, according to Tripp. She says the new technology provides benefits to customers by providing more accurate usage readings. It also helps the company by lowering labor costs.
