If you need to obtain official fingerprint cards for any reason, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has set aside some time once a week for that purpose.
Jail supervisor Brian Anstey says department staff will ink fingerprints for the public between 8:30-10:30 am Wednesdays at the Sheriff’s Office. Cost is $20 per set.
The Sheriff’s Office advises people to bring their own fingerprint cards. The Sheriff’s Office will not provide blank cards because Kansas and other agencies vary in what they require on the cards. Delays will not be unusual, given the demand and other staffing requirements.
