The Emporia State baseball team was defeated by Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-2 in 10 innings Saturday.
Southeastern scored 2 unearned runs in the 4th inning. Paul Claassen hit a solo home run in the 5th for the first run. The Hornets added a run in 8th inning on a fielders choice. Southeastern scored a run in bottom of the 10 on a double with 2 on and no outs. The Hornets are now 0-2 to start the season. They will play Southwestern Oklahoma State Sunday.
