Sacred Heart’s annual bierock sale was once again a massive success, keeping up the pace with previous years.
The doors opened at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall at 11:00 am today and within 45 minutes, they were sold out. A total of around 900 bierocks, dinner rolls, and cinnamon rolls were baked starting at 7:00 am.
The bierocks were all cooked by the young boys and girls of the church, with the assistance of some adults. Each of these cooks had a little something to say about how the sale went.
Youth coordinator for Sacred Heart, Blake Vajgrt oversaw the fundraiser. Vajgrt explained that the funds from the sale would go towards the many trips that the youth ministry goes on each year, as well as helping out with weekly expenses accrued. Vajgrt talks about some of the potential trips coming up.
A total of around $2,500 was raised in the 45 minutes. Vajgrt wants to thank the community for supporting Sacred Heart this morning. Keep an eye out for future Sacred Heart fundraisers to keep supporting the youth ministry.
