The Emporia State baseball team opened their season with a 2-1 loss in 10 innings to Lubbock Christian Friday in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the 5th on a home run by Tanner Arst. Lubbock Christian tied the game in the bottom of the 6th and won the game in the bottom of the 10th. The Hornets will play Southeastern Oklahoma State Saturday and Southwestern Oklahoma State Sunday.
