An Emporia man was one of several people involved in a chain-reaction injury crash in the Kansas City metro area Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says six vehicles, including a car driven by 54-year-old David Moore of Emporia, were all northbound on Interstate 35 and approaching Johnson Drive when the crash happened around 2:30 pm. Four of the vehicles were stopped in traffic. For unknown reasons, a car driven by 25-year-old Drew Clark of Bonner Springs was unable to stop. His car hit the rear end of Moore’s car, leading to the chain-reaction crash.
The driver of one of the other cars involved, 51-year-old Deborah Baska, was taken to Overland Park Regional with suspected minor injuries. None of the other drivers or passengers involved were hurt.
