The Emporia High wrestling team is in 15th place after day 1 of the Rocky Welton Invitational at Garden City.
Drew Baker at 195 advanced to the semi-final round before being defeated.
Levin Buckridge at 126 and Anthony Delgado at 170 pounds were defeated in the quarterfinals.
Whitney Hall at 220 and Dalton Leek at 285 pounds won their first round matches, they were defeated in the 2nd round. They then won their first consolation round match.
The tournament wraps up Saturday.
