An Emporia man accused of stabbing another man last summer has finalized a plea agreement in his case.
On Wednesday, Hayward McKoy pleaded no contest to single counts of simple battery and interference with law enforcement. Other counts, including aggravated battery, were dropped.
McKoy was charged in August after the alleged stabbing at Emporia’s IHOP parking lot and then fleeing the scene.
Sentencing is at 9:30 am April 8 in Lyon County District Court.
